Pantheon International appoints new chair
The London-listed firm described Morgan, who joined the board in January this year, as a private equity specialist with senior investment experience at institutions including the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Onex Corporation, and Permira.
"I am delighted that Tony will become the next chair of PIN's highly talented board of directors," said outgoing chair John Singer.
"Tony has been fully and proactively involved in step three of PIN's three-step corporate strategy programme ... and he has the experience to lead its implementation."
"It has been a great honour and pleasure for me to work with such a committed board, and with our manager, and I wish the company every success in the future."
In addition to becoming chair of the board, Pantheon said Morgan would also take over as chair of the nomination and management engagement committees.
Morgan said he looked forward to continuing the firm's strategic work.
"This is a very exciting time in the evolution of the private equity industry and I look forward to working with both my board colleagues and manager Pantheon to enable PIN to continue to be successful going forwards."
At 1209 BST, shares in Pantheon International were flat at 326.5p.
